I have a deep passion for musical theater, which I’ve pursued both on stage and behind the scenes. I managed a team of 10 actors, overseeing and approving costumes and props to ensure every performance detail was accurate. I also performed in Legally Blonde before an audience of over 800 people from both on and off campus. Beyond acting, I led my school’s first-ever Chinese musical interpretation with The Long Night at the Hexu Theater Festival, pioneering a new way for students to experience and reinterpret theater. To further broaden my understanding of stagecraft, I visited the Shanghai Young Theater, where I attended performances and conducted interviews with stage guides, managers, and actors to learn more about the professional production process. Musical theater is not just an activity for me—it’s a form of storytelling that combines performance, music, and collaboration, and I am eager to continue exploring it both as a performer and creator.
